Bulls n Balls is a new website published by Erik S (sometimes Vern) and features news, analysis and opinions on both sports and stocks. Erik is a published author and his interests include politics, sports, stocks and family.
Bulls n Balls will include contributions from multiple authors and will host numerous sports pools and stock-picking contests throughout the year.
The writing staff here is excited to make this an entertaining, engaging, and informative website where readers can read and debate sharp sports analysis, spot-on game predictions, and hot stock picks.
College Football Analyst Josh Gleason (JG) will be building on an impressive pick-em record over the last 3 years when he provides analysis and predictions at Bulls nBalls this coming season. Josh is currently studying broadcast journalism and has worked as a draft analyst for the past 4 years. Last year Josh's documented and accurate college football predictions included the Florida Gators National Championship, USC's PAC-10 Championship, and the exact season records of the Oklahoma, Penn State, and Utah. Josh's breakdown of his preseason top 10 can be found here. His greatest athletic achievement was being a member of the Auburn Maroons 2006 High School AA State Championship team.
NFL and College Football Analyst B-Rad Gwill be providing analysis of College Football and the NFL. Brad is Penn State journalism major and hails from New Jersey. B-Rad G is a fan of the Yanks, Jets (so we know he can spell), Giants, and of course PSU. B-Rad G once scored four goals in a soccer league.
College Football and NHL Analyst Jacob D (Spec)is also a PSU graduate who previously spent two years covering Penn State football and basketball as a videographer. Last year Spec covered Penn State's Rose Bowl appearance and the basketball team's improbable run to the NIT championship game. Spec's greatest athletic achievement was when he cleanly fielded a punt by a PSU punter while seated in the student section at Beaver Stadium.
NFL and College Basketball Analyst Carolina Nick is a senior Broadcast Journalism major at the University of North Carolina, aka the University of National Champions. He enjoys watching and playing most sports and spending time with his family and beautiful girlfriend. Nick's first NFL post can be found here. His favorite event covered in his short but illustrious journalism career is the party on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill after the Tar Heels won the College Basketball National Championship in 2009. Duke fans beware!
Our Fantasy Football Analyst is Black Belt Mama! BBM is a Mom, a martial artist, a Pitt grad, and a completely obsessed fantasy football player and League Manager who took her first winning title last year (we won't mention that she crashed and burned in her own league the very same season). I shouldn't mention that. She's a black belt after all. She believes in benching players for poor behavior on and off the field, and always gives those with reconstructed ACL's a chance (for a week anyway). She may not always give you the winning strategy, but she'll always commiserate with you after a tough loss.
Senior Baseball Analyst Scotty D is a former coach and has a weekly baseball-only radio show on the ESPN affiliate in St. Augustine, FL. You can listen to him on the internet each Wednesday morning from 10 am to noon eastern at 1420sports.com. Scott's has too many outstanding sports achievements to mention but he most notably achieved a better than 80% winning record during his 17 year as a high school softball coach.
Erik/Verno is the publisher of Bulls nBalls and he will write about winners in both sports and stocks. Erik studied Economics and Public Policy in graduate school at George Mason University and his greatest athletic achievement was hitting an overtime buzzer-beating jump shot to defeat the Dunmore Bucks for the Lackawanna County Freshman Basketball's first-half championship in 1989. He is also on record as having surrendered the longest home run (grand slam actually) in Lackawanna League Baseball history (450 feet).
So thanks for stopping by Bulls n Balls! We hope you poke around, add a comment or two, check out our stock picks, pick up a golf tip (bottom right), and come back regularly to help us pick winners every week in sports and stocks.
